Sonarr Configuration Checklist

Library Import

  • Import existing TV show library
  • Set up root folders (/tv or your path)
  • Configure file naming conventions
  • Set up season folders structure

Download Client Integration

  • Add SABnzbd download client
    • Host: SABnzbd container IP or name
    • Port: SABnzbd port (usually 8080)
    • API Key: Copy from SABnzbd Config → General
    • Category: tv-sonarr (create in SABnzbd first)
    • Test connection
  • Add Deluge download client
    • Host/Port configuration
    • Authentication setup
    • Category: tv-sonarr
    • Test connection

Indexer Integration

  • Connect to Prowlarr
    • Add Sonarr app in Prowlarr settings
    • Verify indexers sync to Sonarr
    • Test manual episode search

Quality & Profiles (TRaSH Guides)

  • Set up quality profiles (1080p, 4K, etc)
  • Import TRaSH guide custom formats
  • Configure release profiles
  • Set up preferred words and restrictions

Plex Integration

  • Connect to Plex server
  • Configure library update settings
  • Test library refresh after import

Automation & Monitoring

  • Configure automatic episode monitoring
  • Set up season monitoring preferences
  • Configure notifications (Notifiarr/Discord)
